| Detailed Description | The National Weather Service in Pocatello ID has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Idaho. Portneuf River at Topaz affecting Bannock County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE. Portneuf River at Topaz. * WHEN. From this afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 4.0 feet, Lowland and crop field flooding possible from Pebble Creek to Inkom. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 12:15 PM MDT Monday the stage was 3.9 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 4.1 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then rise to 4.1 feet early Friday afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 4.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 4.0 feet on 02/11/2007. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
