Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive runoff along Rio Guanajibo. * WHERE. Cabo Rojo, Hormigueros, Mayaguez and San German. * WHEN. Until 800 AM AST Thursday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 928 PM AST, River gauge reports and emergency managers indicated flooding along portions of Rio Guanajibo due to excessive runoff. Particularly along roads 114 and 311. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
