Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City NC has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in North Carolina. N.E. Cape Fear near N.E. Cape Fear River Near Beulaville affecting Duplin County. * WHAT. At least Moderate Flooding is forecast. * WHERE. N.E. Cape Fear near N.E. Cape Fear River Near Beulaville. * WHEN. From this evening until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 18.0 feet, Many acres of farmland along the river and adjacent creeks are flooded. Water may inundate portions of Hallsville Road, Blizzard Town Road, and Sarecta Road. The boat ramp area of NC 24 becomes flooded and inaccessible. At 21.0 feet, Water surrounds numerous homes and businesses along the river west of Beulaville, with some homes likely inundated. Travel along local roads becomes increasingly difficult as many small creeks and tributaries overflow onto roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 6:25 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 17.1 feet. - Forecast.
