Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas. Sabine River Near Hawkins affecting Upshur, Smith and Wood Counties. For the Sabine River. including Hawkins. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE. Sabine River near Hawkins. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 37.0 feet, Expect major flooding of several thousands of acres of pastures and woods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 7:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 32.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Thursday was 32.3 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 36.3 feet early Saturday afternoon. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet. - Flood History.
