| Detailed Description | 5:39 AM ADT Thursday 27 June 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for: Grand Manan and Coastal Charlotte County Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing torrential rain. Thunderstorms could produce very heavy rain this morning across portions of the Fundy coast. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Water-related activities may be unsafe due to violent and sudden gusts of wind over bodies of water. If you hear thunder, then lightning is close enough to be dangerous. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
