| Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southeast Florida, including the following counties, Broward and Miami-Dade. * WHEN. Until 730 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 430 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rains moving towards Metro Miami-Dade County from the interior areas. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area with these moderate to heavy rains as the rains moves through the area. These rainfall amounts will continue to cause minor flooding over the area due to the grounds being very saturated. If the rainfall amounts increase more than forecast, then a Flash Flood warning may be needed over portions of the flood advisory. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Miami, Hialeah, Miramar, Miami Beach, Homestead, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, South Miami, Kendall, Black Point, The Redland, Homestead Miami Speedway, Virginia Key, Turkey Point, Miami Gardens, North Miami, Doral, North Miami Beach, Aventura and Miami Lakes. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
