Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The National Weather Service in Des Moines IA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa. West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville affecting Emmet County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. The West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville, or from the Iowa-Minnesota border to near Wallingford. * WHEN. From early this morning to late this evening. * IMPACTS. At 10.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding occurs particularly over the parkland areas near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 11:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 10.4 feet. - Forecast. The river will fall below flood stage late this morning to 9.6 feet this evening. It will then rise to 9.9 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will fall to 9.4 feet early Friday morning. It will then rise to 9.8 feet Monday morning. It will fall again and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
