Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of central and north central New Mexico, including the following areas, in central New Mexico, South Central Mountains. In north central New Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. * WHEN. Until midnight MDT tonight. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Locally heavy rainfall at rates of 1-2 inches per hour may result in rapid runoff and flash flooding. Locations with complex terrain, and recent burn scars, including the Hermits Peaks/Calf Canyon and South Fork/Salt will be especially vulnerable to flash flooding. burn scars. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
