Brief Description Blowing Snow Advisory
Detailed Description Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in some locations. Total snowfall: 10 to 15 cm. Maximum wind gusts: southeasterly 60 to 80 km/h. Locations: Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity. Time span: overnight tonight until early Tuesday morning. Remarks: Fresh snowfall and strong winds will combine to cause a period of blowing snow, until snow eventually changes to rain as temperatures rise. ### Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Blowing snow advisories are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.
