8:23 PM CDT Tuesday 20 August 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for: Thompson Thicket Portage and Pikwitonei Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Time span: Tuesday evening into Tuesday night. Summary: Thunderstorms continue track eastward from Saskatchewan towards the watch area. The strongest storms will pose a risk of large hail and locally damaging wind gusts. Thunderstorm activity will persist into the overnight hours and may continue into Wednesday morning. Be prepared for severe weather. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
