Brief Description SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
Detailed Description 1:22 PM EDT Friday 28 June 2024 Special Weather Statement in effect for: Marathon - Schreiber Significant rainfall today. Hazard: Rainfall amounts of 30 to 45 mm. Locally higher amounts are possible especially with thunderstorms. Timing: This afternoon into Saturday. Discussion: Rain, at times heavy, continues to move eastward through northwestern Ontario and north of Superior this afternoon. The rain will taper to showers this evening for northwestern Ontario and tomorrow for north of Superior For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
