10:48 PM EDT Wednesday 5 June 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: Fort Severn At 9:47 PM CDT (10:47 p.m. EDT), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 105 kilometres northwest of Fort Severn to Fort Severn to 85 kilometres south of Fort Severn, moving northeast at 40 km/h. Hazard: 90 km/h wind gusts and nickel size hail. Locations impacted include: Fort Severn. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
