Brief Description Flash Flood Warning
Detailed Description FFWRNK The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Southern Henry County in south central Virginia. The City of Martinsville in south central Virginia. * Until midnight EDT tonight. * At 604 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Martinsville. Spencer. Axton. Villa Heights. Horse Pasture. Fieldale. Collinsville. This includes the following locations. The Martinsville Speedway and Martinsville Airport. This includes the following streams and drainages. Beaver Creek, Home Creek, Cascade Creek, Hairston Branch, Leatherwood Creek, Bull Run, Jackson Branch, Jordan Creek, Horse Pasture Creek, Bassett Branch and Koger Creek.
