| Detailed Description | 6:41 PM ADT Tuesday 30 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: Grand Falls and Victoria County At 6:40 PM ADT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. A severe thunderstorm is about to impact the Perth-Andover area within the next 30 minutes. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to NBstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #NBStorm . Watches 6:21 PM ADT Tuesday 30 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for: Grand Falls and Victoria County Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Maximum wind gusts: 90 km/h. Maximum rainfall rates: 25 mm/h or greater. Location: northwestern New Brunswick. Time span: this evening.
