Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning is extended for the following river and locations in Indiana. East Fork White River at Shoals and Williams. . The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana. White River near Nora, below Eagle Valley Power Plant, near Centerton, at Ravenswood, Newberry, Spencer, Edwardsport, Hazleton, Elliston, and Petersburg. East Fork White River near Rivervale, at Columbus, near Bedford, and Seymour. .Major flooding continues on the White River from Elliston downstream., and on the East Fork White River downstream of Seymour. The crest of the White was near Elliston Tuesday evening and is forecast to reach Hazleton Saturday. Indianapolis area gages are expected to fall below flood stage tonight and Wednesday morning. Spencer should fall below flood by Friday morning. Flooding at Petersburg and Hazleton is expected to continue throughout next week. The crest on the East Fork was at Rivervale Tuesday evening and should reach Shoals on Thursday. The river should fall below flood stage at Columbus late overnight and work downriver from there. Shoals is expected to remain above flood stage until Tuesday the 15th. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE. White River near Nora. * WHEN. Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS. At 11.0 feet, Local roads begin to flood. Howland Ditch begins to flood 69th Street west of Kingsley Drive. Water is at the edge of River Edge Lane and the section of River Road located north of 86th Street and south of I-465. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:00 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 11.0 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 PM EDT Tuesday was 15.3 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
