Brief Description Flood Watch
Detailed Description Forecast flooding changed to Minor severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Virginia. South Fork Shenandoah River at Front Royal affecting Warren County. . The Flood Watch is extended for the following rivers in Virginia. West Virginia. Shenandoah River at Millville affecting Clarke, Jefferson and Warren Counties. For the South Fork Shenandoah River. including Lynnwood, Luray, Front Royal. flooding is possible. * WHAT. Flooding is possible. * WHERE. Shenandoah River at Millville. * WHEN. From Tuesday afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 12.0 feet, Water reaches the river access at Wagon Trail Place near Harpers Ferry, and completely covers the parking lot of the lower boat ramp at Millville Dam. Portions of the Cool Spring Battlefield begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:30 AM EDT Monday the stage was 8.6 feet, or 1.4 feet below flood stage. - Forecast. Flood stage may be reached tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information
