| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. A portion of central South Carolina, including the following counties, Bamberg and Orangeburg. * WHEN. Until 130 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams should be nearing their crest tonight due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 814 PM EST, Emergency Management reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring. Between 6 and 12 inches of rain fell through midday Thursday. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no significant additional rainfall is expected. Streams should begin to recede on Friday. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. mainly rural areas of Northeastern Bamberg and Southwestern Orangeburg Counties - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
