Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Oregon. Silvies River Near Burns affecting Harney County. .Warm temperatures will melt snowpack and increase river flows. For the Silvies River. including Burns. flooding is forecast to continue. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Silvies River near Burns. * WHEN. Until Tuesday, April 22. * IMPACTS. At 12.0 feet, Flooding of fields will occur in the Burns area. Water will encroach on some private properties along North Broadway Avenue, Foley Road, and Stancliff Road. Water will be close to flowing on to Highway 20 at the Silvies River Bridge. Low spots in the Burns RV Park may be impacted. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1:00 PM PDT Tuesday the stage was 11.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.5 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 12.7 feet early Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday, April 22. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.7 feet on 03/25/1993. - https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
