Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Florida. St Johns River Near Above Lake Harney affecting Seminole County. St Johns River Near Sanford affecting Seminole County. St Johns River Near Deland affecting Lake and Volusia Counties. St Johns River Near Astor affecting Lake and Volusia Counties. .The Saint Johns River will remain nearly steady or slowly fall through the week, prolonging flood impacts. At Astor, the river level will remain above the major flood stage of 4.0 feet. At Deland, the river is forecast to remain nearly steady, staying in major flood with a stage forecast near 5.4 ft through at least Friday afternoon. The river at Sanford is forecast to drop only slightly this week and remain in moderate flood through at least Friday. The river level at Geneva is forecast to stay in moderate flood and drop only gradually to 9.3 ft by Sunday. For the St. Johns River. including Above Lake Harney, Sanford, Deland, Astor. Major flooding is forecast. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Thursday morning at 1100 AM EDT. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. St Johns River near Above Lake Harney. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 9.5 feet, Water begins to move into homes in low lying areas along the river. Flooding around the Black Hammock area near Lake Jesup. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM EDT Wednesday was 9.7 feet. - Forecast.
