| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning continues for the following river and locations in Indiana. Illinois. Wabash River at Vincennes, Clinton, Covington, Riverton, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, Terre Haute, Lafayette, Montezuma, and Mount Carmel. .Extensive lowland flooding continues along the length of the Wabash River, with significant flooding on the lower Wabash at Mount Carmel. The crest on the Wabash Wednesday evening was at Hutsonville and is expected to reach Riverton and Vincennes by Thursday evening, and Mount Carmel Sunday evening. Forecast rainfall through Thursday night of less than half an inch should not raise crests, but may slow the fall. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. * WHEN. Until Thursday, April 17. * IMPACTS. At 22.0 feet, River cabins become isolated. Basement flooding begins in Hutsonville. Extensive agricultural flooding is in progress. Higher Illinois rural roads in eastern Clark and Crawford counties flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - There is no current observed data. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage Thursday, April 17 and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
