Brief Description Snowfall Warning
Detailed Description Heavy snowfall is expected in the Foothills and Rockies tonight and Wednesday night. Precipitation will begin as a rain/snow mix this afternoon before changing to heavy snow this evening. General amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected, but in a few localities upwards of 15 cm is possible. Snowfall amounts will be highly variable throughout the region. There will be a break in snowfall through the day on Wednesday, but heavy snow is expected again beginning Wednesday evening. Another 5 to 15 cm is expected by Thursday morning. In total, this area could see between 15 and 30 cm of snow by Thursday morning. ### Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
