| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Madison County Emergency Management continued to report gradually rising water levels in southeastern Madison County south of Interstate 10, between State Road 53 and County Road 255. Water levels remain high in the vicinity of I-10 and Exit 258. All of the flooding is due to past heavy rainfall from Hurricane Debby. Expect new flooded areas as water continues to slowly move to the south and east across Madison County. * WHERE. Southeast Madison County in the Florida Big Bend * WHEN. At least until 130 PM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS. Some homes are flooded, numerous roads are impacted or closed, and a campground near Exit 258 are affected at this time. Additional roads will likely become impassible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1206 PM EDT, Flooding will likely persist through the remainder of at least this week due to more than 12 inches of rain that occurred across the warning area from Hurricane Debby. With high groundwater levels, locations near small creeks, springs, or sinks in Southeast Madison County could be prone to flooding on relatively short notice.
