RED FLAG WARNING FOR MOST OF WESTERN AND MUCH OF CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. .A strong cold front is currently moving through western North Dakota with humidities down to 25 percent and winds gusting to around 60 mph, with some gusts around 70 mph. Thus the starting time for the Red Flag Warning in the west is beginning early this morning. The cold front will move through the rest of western and central North Dakota today with strong west to northwest winds up to 45 mph and gusts to 65 mph expected through the day and into Saturday evening. By mid to late morning, through the afternoon, and into the evening, relative humidities are expected to drop as low as 22 percent. When combined with the very strong winds, an extended period of critical fire weather conditions is likely for most of western and much of central North Dakota today. * WINDS. West 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY. As low as 24 percent. * AFFECTED AREA. Most of western and much of central North Dakota. * IMPACTS. Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress.
