Brief Description Flood Advisory
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southwest California, including much of northern, western, central, and southern Santa Barbara County. This includes the Lake Fire Burn Scar. * WHEN. Until 200 AM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Minor landslides consisting of rockslides and mudslides. Minor debris flows in and around the Lake Fire Burn Scar. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 730 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms increasing in coverage across the advisory area. Minor flooding and landslides are ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, Lompoc, Santa Ynez, Point Conception, Montecito, Carpinteria, Solvang, Vandenberg Space Force Base, Los Alamos, Highway 101 through Gaviota State Park, Refugio State Beach, El Capitan State Beach, Orcutt, Isla Vista, Summerland, Goleta, Guadalupe, Buellton and Sisquoc. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
