9:39 PM MDT Tuesday 28 May 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: Cypress Co. near Bowell and Redcliff Cypress Co. near CFB Suffield Cypress Co. near Bowmanton Schuler and Hilda Cypress Co. near Dunmore and Woolchester City of Medicine Hat Cypress Co. near Seven Persons At 9:39 PM MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts and nickel to ping pong ball size hail. This cluster of severe thunderstorms is located near Medicine Hat to 25 km northwest of Eagle Butte and is moving to the northeast at 60 km/h. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
