| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Minor coastal flooding expected. * WHERE. Bering Strait Coast. * WHEN. Until 7 AM AKDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure will be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Water levels are expected to rise to 4 to 6 feet above the normal high tide line. For Wales, water may overflow from Village Creek into low lying areas behind town. For Teller and Brevig Mission, minor flooding in low lying areas. Water will peak tonight and remain elevated through Wednesday. |
