Big Sioux River near Brookings affecting Brookings and Moody Counties. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Big Sioux River near Brookings. * WHEN. Until late Sunday morning. * IMPACTS. At 11.0 feet, Some farm outbuildings begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 10.3 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM CDT Tuesday was 10.4 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest around 10.8 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
