Portions of southeast New Mexico, including the following areas, Eddy and Lea Counties, and western Texas, including the following areas, Andrews and Gaines Counties. * WHEN. From this evening through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A band of slowing moving thunderstorms is expected to develop tonight as a weather system approaches the region with additional rounds of thunderstorms possible through Saturday morning. With multiple rounds of thunderstorms possible, a few area may receive torrential rainfall resulting in flash flooding.
