| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kentucky. Illinois. Missouri. Ohio River at Smithland Dam. Paducah. Olmsted Lock and Dam. and Cairo .Water levels continue to rise along the Ohio River from Smithland Dam downstream to Cairo. Crests in minor to major flood stage are forecast. At Smithland Dam and Paducah, the river will crest around Thursday, April 17. At Olmsted Lock and Dam and Cairo, the river will crest tomorrow morning. For the Ohio River. including Smithland Dam, Paducah, Olmsted Lock and Dam, Cairo. Minor to Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Ohio River at Cairo. * WHEN. Until further notice. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 52.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 52.2 feet just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 40.0 feet. |
