Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Major severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Arkansas. Saline River At Benton affecting Saline County. For the Saline River. including Benton, Rye. Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Major flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Saline River at Benton. * WHEN. From Friday afternoon to late Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS. At 26.0 feet, Serious flooding begins at this level, there will be problems in the industrial area, near the airport, and along the water supply impoundment downstream of Interstate 30 and the nearby manufactured home subdivision. Watch for flooding of low lying roads. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 11:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 11.2 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage Friday afternoon to a crest of 27.5 feet early Sunday morning. This crest is based off of forecasted rainfall for the next three days.
