Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following counties, Cameron, Hidalgo and Willacy. * WHEN. Until 800 AM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 917 PM CDT, Flooding from heavy rains on Thursday is already occurring. Between 10 and 20 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Harlingen, San Benito, Mercedes, La Feria, Progreso, Santa Rosa, Rio Hondo, Palm Valley, Los Indios, Laureles, La Paloma, Rangerville, Arroyo City, Santa Maria, Brownsville, Primera, Combes, Rio Hondo City Hall, Rio Hondo Junior High School and Rio Hondo Elementary School. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
