| Detailed Description | Heavy snow today. Blizzard late this afternoon and tonight. Snow has begun as a low pressure system approaches Kinngait from Hudson Bay. The snow will intensify near midday and 10 cm is expected to fall by evening. Meanwhile, southwesterly winds will steadily intensity, increasing to 60 gusting 80 km/h by evening resulting in blizzard conditions with continued falling snow. The snow, winds, and blizzard will ease Thursday morning. ### Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Blizzard warnings are issued when widespread reduced visibilities of 400 metres or less are expected for at least 6 hours.
