Brief Description Extreme Cold Warning
Detailed Description A prolonged period of very cold wind chills is expected. Where: Old Crow, Dempster Highway, Dawson, Mayo, Beaver Creek and Pelly - Carmacks. When: Now through Sunday What: Wind chills at times near minus 50 degree Celsius Remarks; A stationary arctic ridge of high pressure will bring very cold wind chills to north and central YT. The wind chill value will be below minus 40 degree Celsius and at times near minus 50 today through Sunday. Conditions are expected to improve on Monday. ### Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
