| Detailed Description | 4:17 PM ADT Saturday 27 July 2024 Heat Warning in effect for: Cartwright to Black Tickle A period of very warm and humid weather is expected. Time span: Sunday through Monday. Maximum daytime temperatures: near 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 35). Minimum nighttime temperatures: 18 degrees Celsius. Locations: Upper Lake Melville and the Labrador coast from Postville to Lodge Bay. Remarks: Cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast. Extreme heat can affect everyone?s health. Check several times a day on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water. Never leave people, particularly children, or pets inside a parked vehicle. Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
