Brief Description Flood Advisory
Detailed Description * WHAT. Hydrologic flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of northeast California, including the following counties, Lassen, Plumas and Sierra. * WHEN. Until 400 PM PST Tuesday. * IMPACTS. Additional rainfall and excessive runoff will result in rapid rises and potential flooding of rivers, creeks and streams, as well as poor drainage and urban areas, most notably in western Lassen and Eastern Plumas Counties. Minor flooding is anticpated on the Susan River at Susanville, which is expected to crest late Sunday to early Monday. The Middle Fork of the Feather near Portola is expected to slowly rise towards action stage and possibly minor flood stage mid to late this week. More significant flooding is forecast for the Pit River in NW Lassen County. See the seperate flood warning for additional details on the Pit River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1209 PM PST, Rainfall over the advisory area is expected to lead to rises along local rivers and streams through Tuesday afternoon. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Eagle Lake, Termo, Herlong, Beckwourth, Doyle, Blairsden, Plumas Eureka State Park, Graeagle, Chilcoot, Bieber, Sierraville, Nubieber, Stampede Reservoir, Verdi, Susanville, Standish, Janesville, Aspen Grove Campground, Antelope Lake and Spaulding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
