Brief Description Flash Flood Warning
Detailed Description At 1219 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD. Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. St. Charles County Emergency Management reports I-70 being closed between Highway 370 and T.R. Hughes Blvd. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. O'Fallon, St. Charles, St. Peters, Wentzville, Alton, Hazelwood, Godfrey, Lake St. Louis, Bridgeton, Dardenne Prairie, Wood River, Troy, Bethalto, Warrenton, Weldon Spring, Wright City, Cottleville, St. Paul, East Alton and Moscow Mills. This includes the following State Parks. Cuivre River State Park, Confluence State Park and Pere Marquette State Park. This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between exits 188 and 229.
