Brief Description Flood Watch
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. A portion of Southwest California, including the following areas, Orange County Coastal Areas, Orange County Inland Areas, Riverside County Mountains, San Bernardino County Mountains, San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys-The Inland Empire, San Diego County Coastal Areas, San Diego County Mountains, San Diego County Valleys and Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills. * WHEN. From Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Debris flow are possible near recent burn scars. Areas of flooding possible in the mountains below the snow level. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - - An incoming atmospheric river will generate moderate to heavy rainfall Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon. Rainfall rates of 0.50 to 0.75 inch/hour expected, locally up to 1 inch/hour possible in the mountains below the snow level and where thunderstorms develop. This watch includes the following burn scars: Bridge, Line, and Airport. A round of widespread, heavy precipitation is expected to start before sunrise Thursday morning.
