Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina. Neuse River At Kinston affecting Jones and Lenoir Counties. For the Neuse River. including Kinston. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Neuse River at Kinston. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 18.0 feet, Widespread lowland flooding adjacent to the river. Water approaches some secondary roads over the southeast sections of Kinston. Campgrounds and picnic areas at the Nature Center in Kinston are inundated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:15 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 17.0 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 AM EDT Saturday was 17.2 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall to 15.3 feet Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
