Detailed Description |
FFWAKQ The National Weather Service in Wakefield has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for. Northern Fluvanna County in central Virginia. Northwestern Louisa County in central Virginia. * Until 200 AM EDT. * At 1049 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The heaviest rainfall has ended, however additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are still possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Lake Monticello, Boswells Tavern, Troy, Ferncliff, Zion Crossroads, Waldrop, Bybee, Byrd Mill, Green Springs, Wildwood, Trevilians, Union Mills, Cunningham, Nahor and Vawter Corner. |
