| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Heavy snow and blowing snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches possible with gusts up to 35 mph. * WHERE. South Slopes of the Western Brooks Range. * WHEN. From Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. An arctic trough will be digging down from the NW arctic coast and bring heavy snowfall to the southern portions of the Southern Slopes of the Western Brooks Range, northeast of Ambler. Majority of snowfall expected Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. |
