| Detailed Description | 11:03 AM EDT Saturday 10 August 2024 Weather Advisory in effect for: Kingston - Odessa - Frontenac Islands Conditions will be favourable for the development of funnel clouds today. A line of showers over eastern Lake Ontario has been producing funnel clouds and possible waterspouts. This line of showers may affect areas near the shore of Lake Ontario over the next few hours. These types of funnel clouds are generated by weak rotation under rapidly growing clouds or weak thunderstorms. This weak rotation is normally not a danger near the ground. However, there is a chance that this rotation could intensify and become a weak landspout tornado. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
