Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Neuse River at Smithfield. * WHEN. Until early Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 15.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Flooding begins along the Neuse Riverwalk. Water nears the base of the holding tank at the water treatment plant. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:15 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 15.6 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Saturday morning and continue falling to 11.9 feet Sunday evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. |
