Brief Description	Special Weather Statement
Detailed Description	A strong westerly monsoon pattern persists across western Micronesia. The worst conditions are found between Yap and Chuuk and areas south. Satellite data has shown numerous to widespread showers stretching from just south of Yap Proper eastward into Chuuk State west and northwest of Weno. Strong winds of 20 to 30 mph and rough seas have continued across the region well outside of the showers. Invest 99W has formed into Tropical Depression Kong-rey (23W) while invest 98W is located just southeast of Guam. As both features move northwestward, the monsoonal pattern will lift northwest. This will bring the region of showers and thunderstorms back into Palau and Yap Sunday and into early next week. This monsoonal pattern will make inter-island travel hazardous and potentially dangerous at times so travel is discouraged through the rest of week and into the weekend. Watch out for high surf along west and north facing reefs and pay attention to surf and sea conditions.
