| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following county, Jasper. * WHEN. Until 730 AM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 119 PM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 7 and 12 inches of rain have fallen. - Flood waters are expected to remain high along and near the Coosawhatchie and Tullifinny Rivers. In addition, areas around the Great Swamp, Bagshaw Swamp, and Bahama Swamp may see flood waters persist. Highway 17 has been closed in few locations. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Bluffton, Ridgeland, Bellinger Hill Area, Jasper, Port Wentworth, Hardeeville, Switzerland, Grahamville, Tillman and Old House. |
