Brief Description Snow Squall Warning
Detailed Description Lake effect snow squalls are expected. Hazards: Additional snowfall accumulations of up to 10 cm leading to total snowfall accumulations of 20 cm over some areas. Poor visibility at times in heavy snow. Timing: Ending later this morning. Discussion: Lake effect snow squalls from Lake Huron continue to extend inland into the area. These snow squalls are expected to weaken this morning while moving north. Scattered flurries are then expected through the remainder of today and tonight. ### Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
