Portions of southeast New Mexico, including the following areas, Central Lea County, Eddy County Plains, Guadalupe Mountains of Eddy County, Northern Lea County and Southern Lea County and western Texas, including the following areas, Andrews and Gaines. * WHEN. Until noon MDT /1 PM CDT/ today. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A band of slowing moving thunderstorms is expected to develop tonight as a weather system approaches the region with additional rounds of thunderstorms possible through Saturday morning. With multiple rounds of thunderstorms possible, a few area may receive torrential rainfall resulting in flash flooding.
