What: Rainfall amount in excess of 150 mm possible by Wednesday morning. Where: Klemtu and surrounding areas. When: Tonight and Tuesday, persisting until Wednesday morning. A strong storm system continues to bring heavy rain to the central coast of British Columbia. Rainfall rates are expected to increase significantly tonight, with heavy rain likely continuing through the day on Tuesday. A possible break for some areas Tuesday daytime, then heavy rain again Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Areas in the south such as Rivers Inlet and Kingcombe Inlet will see very heavy rain in the Tuesday night period. Lesser rainfall amounts are forecast for Bella Bella and Ocean Falls. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Avoid driving through water on roads. Even shallow, fast-moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle or a person away. Don''t approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Keep children and pets away from creeks and river banks.
