Brief Description Marine Weather Statement
Detailed Description There is growing potential for a strong fall system to move into the Gulf Monday. There is increasing confidence in violent storm force winds for the southern outer coast and storm force winds for the southern inner channels for the first front with seas up to 35 ft. The secondary jet south of the initial front will feature hurricane force gusts, likely south of the Prince of Wales outer waters. Some uncertainty still exists on the overall track of the system, with indications that it could move further north than anticipated. Stay tuned into the marine weather radio and weather.gov/juneau for updates.
