Brief Description Winter Storm Warning
Detailed Description * WHAT. Heavy wet snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Accumulating snow may reach as far east as Boise City to Dalhart this afternoon and evening, but highest totals will continue in the far western portions of the counties near the New Mexico state line. * WHERE. In Oklahoma, Cimarron County. In Texas, Dallam County. * WHEN. Until 11 PM CST this evening. * IMPACTS. Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Slushy roads will freeze overnight leading to very slippery road conditions. Some non-plowed roads near the New Mexico state line may be impassible and snow loading has been leading tree damage and could impact power lines as well. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday evening commute.
