Brief Description Extreme Cold Watch
Detailed Description * WHAT. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 49 below expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 52 below possible. * WHERE. Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Minnesota and northeast and southeast North Dakota. * WHEN. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight tonight to noon CST Thursday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Thursday afternoon through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 50 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Reduced visibility from blowing snow and hazardously cold wind chills may create hazardous travel conditions Thursday.
